Savage, O'Reilly flip

Personally, I'd like to see WWTN flip time slots for Savage and O'Reilly. Savage is so strident and negative so much of the time, it has become tiring to listen to that in the early evening. 7pm is frequently my drive-time home and judging by the increasing congestion on Nashville interstates at that hour, for many others, too. I would think Savage's more radical nature would be better suited to a later night slot, while O'Reilly's Radio Factor, with its more news-oriented approach and given his TV profile would be a better listen at 7pm.

Like most talk stations, I'm sure WWTN wants to carry programs live as much as possible. When they can't carry live, they first look for available refeeds so that they don't have to create the delay in-house. Savage is live during the hours he's carried here, and I'm not 100% sure but believe that Liddy and O'Reilly are both carried during refeeds.

Yes, both G. Gordon Liddy and Bill O'Reilly are carried on a tape delayed basis. G. Gordon Liddy live broadcast occurs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the time slot that Phil Valentine now occuplies. Bill O'Reilly's live feed occurs during the day also, but I'm not sure during which hours. Also, since "The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly" airs live nightly at 8:00 ET/7:00 CT on Fox News Channel, would it be wise on WWTN's part to air his radio show at the same time his cable news show is being aired?

The 'available refeed' reason makes some sense. I don't know how cumbersome it is to create the delay in house, but priority should be putting the best programming on for the time slot, and if all other things were equal, I'd put O'Reilly (bigger name, wider appeal) 7-9, Savage 9-11. The WTN delay of O'Reilly is already awkward in relation to the TV show, as it airs AFTER the 7pm cablecast, although references are made throughout the radio show to the UPCOMING TV show, and the 9-11 radio delay puts it on at the same time as the 10pm cablecast which is the preferring viewing timeslot for many. So, there's no easy solution to that problem.
