Savage Update

Until KGO died, I was a huge fan of KGO. That's almost the only thing I'd listen to except during the news, which I've never liked.
So around 2002 or 3, I used to listen to Savage on KSFO around 4-5 PM (if KNBR was not interesting) because KGO was playing news and he was better than KGO news. So anyway, I listened in my car on my lunch hour in the parking lot. And here's what's gross. Although Savage is a genuine pro, he wasn't professional enough to realize or care that people can hear him when he snorts up phlegm to clear his throat while listening to the caller or between his own words. So I'm eating lunch and that's what comes out of my speakers. The sound of him snorting and swallowing phlegm. Not the kind of thing you want to hear while eating. He did that A LOT
It seems like he (might be) the best thing on the radio in his time slot in the range of my home radio (San Jose). But I haven't heard more than 10 minutes of his new show and usually I cant, take more than 5 minutes of him. I do like Alan Colmes a lot more, but I think he comes on an hour later. I just want some decent talk radio.

Aw - don't put yourself down - I'll bet you're pretty cute. ;D

Yes - Colmes isn't pretty - maybe that's why Fox News chose him to be their token liberal pundit. Come to think of it, though, Karl Rove and Dick Morris should also be banned from television for their ugly mugs. And take Greta Van Susteren along with them...and she's had plastic surgery...

Savage was mad at the msnbc caller screener for not cutting him off when he went into the rant that cost him that job. He said if they didn't like his comments they should have cut them off.

That guy in LA that burned all the bridges with the stations he worked at Zeigler (forgot his first name) he used to sound like Sylvester the cat and had lots of p popping and spraying. Michael Reagon was kind of like that too. It is very annoying to me as well.

Jeff Kuhner the one who did Fill-ins for Savage-Weiner is now a local host on WRKO-AM in Boston.

I never thought about Colmes face one way or the other. He's a regular guy. I don't know what a good looking guy looks like. There's 4 kinds of guys. Fat, bald, short, and regular. Colmes is regular.
I remember Greta getting face surgery. I think she should get her money back. I didn't see any point in trying to make her look pretty. It was hopeless. I wouldn't call her ugly. She was about average, with no chance of being sexy or pretty.

I could not understand the Greta-lift either.

Savage got into it with Kuhner once as well. He complained that Kuhner used the phrase: "Obama the destroyer" then David Limbaugh writes a book with that as the title. (probably to tic Savage off)

Savage always complains people are stealing his sound bites. like "compassionate conservative"

Greta did look better after her first lift. She probably later went too far. I've seen this so many times in the media. Priscilla Presley comes to mind. After too much brow lift, many look very "surprised" all the time.

I realize there is pressure to always look good. I prefer ladies who age gracefully. Sometimes, reconstructive surgery is necessary. If there's a trait you inherit, I understand a little nip tuck. Examples: turkey neck, big ears, really bad nose (which could affect breathing), deviated septum, and more.

I had a bad accident in 2006. The EN&T surgeon found other damage in my nose. It probably happened playing college football. Now my nose looks better than before. If you want to see something really nasty, look at nasal/nose packing removal video on youtube. When mine was pulled out, it was like an alien being pulled from my nose. It gives me the heebie-jeebies thinking about it. The nasal pressure relief was welcome.

Getting back on topic, at least Dr. Savage looks like he's aging gracefully.
