Until KGO died, I was a huge fan of KGO. That's almost the only thing I'd listen to except during the news, which I've never liked.
So around 2002 or 3, I used to listen to Savage on KSFO around 4-5 PM (if KNBR was not interesting) because KGO was playing news and he was better than KGO news. So anyway, I listened in my car on my lunch hour in the parking lot. And here's what's gross. Although Savage is a genuine pro, he wasn't professional enough to realize or care that people can hear him when he snorts up phlegm to clear his throat while listening to the caller or between his own words. So I'm eating lunch and that's what comes out of my speakers. The sound of him snorting and swallowing phlegm. Not the kind of thing you want to hear while eating. He did that A LOT
It seems like he (might be) the best thing on the radio in his time slot in the range of my home radio (San Jose). But I haven't heard more than 10 minutes of his new show and usually I cant, take more than 5 minutes of him. I do like Alan Colmes a lot more, but I think he comes on an hour later. I just want some decent talk radio.
