Savannah Arbs This Week?

Are the Arbs released this week? I know Cumulus is now doing their own thing re: ratings for smaller markets like ours; tis a pity, as I'm really curious to see how WZAT, now Hot AC as Mix 102-1, fared.

I don't forsee anything shocking in this go-round. The usual - some stations rise, others fall a bit. I don't think we'll be seeing any format flips anytime soon, though I'd love to be incorrect.

Thoughts?

Cumulus is actually still using Arbitron through the end of 2008. And did anyone notice that WZAT actually showed numbers in Brunswick for the first time. They are low, but it is a beginning. I believe you will notice some big changes there.

Urban AC has been the big numbers getter in the southest area, so I believe it could be 101 and 103 fighting for top spot this book.

Big changes in Brunswick for ZAT? How so? Antenna height increase?

102's numbers in Brunswick can only increase so much due to a semi-reliable signal (I'm sure humid Summer mornings either help or crush reception). Plus, Brunswick's 105.9 plays basically the same thing as 102.

There have been no changes to WZAT. The signal has always been fairly decent in Brunswick. The only change has been the format.

lol... pirate stations aren't rated. wow who posts here?

i see MIX 102 getting a 20 share and dominating all of savannah!!! and chaning the play list a little so that rob thomas plays every other song instead of only playing every other song. bob and sherri will have the strangle hold and every morning show, heather daniels will keep killing it on the afternoon show and john tesh with wild and wacky shows will rule the night!!!!

I also hear her doing traffic on Charleston's 98X. What gives here?

See D, thats why you da man ;D ;D

BTW, numbers come out next week

heather daniels was just a joke (like the rest of the station...minus middays cause that lady is the sweetest person i have ever met) there is no one on the mix afternoon shift only traffic reports...and im not the man YOU are the man...by the way oregon is beautiful!!! miss some of you lol

D, Nice to hear from you again. You and Heather always been close, could tell easily on the air :) you 2 still keep in touch often?

well not really everyone im close either has been let go there or are in hiding with them the best tho good luck cumuless (i think i might have spelled that wrong)

chino (104.7 KDUK)

believe it or not 102.1 went UP this period.

as I thought would happen SOK Got Socked...... Again, chop in half from Joy which in turn doubled.

They are celebrating on alfred street...
WSOK getting "Socked" wasn't their concern.
The fact that WLVH went up as well as WAEV and WQBT is what matters to the brass at CC.

Cumulus... Well, WEAS #1 but tied and FINALLY brought back down to earth in the 18-34 and 25-54 Demos!
WJCL, not looking good! WTYB did good morning drive but suffered in other day-parts.

Doug Banks was the strongest day-part for WEAS and the effects are apparent.
Quick reminder... 12+ numbers are really not important in the "revenue" world; the IMPORTANT numbers are in the revenue demos. The target is the female audience 12-24, 18-34, and 25-54. Cumulus really took a hit this book.

Did WQBT find a new PD? Safe to say "HTOWLER" WQBT is not going anywhere (I know how desparately you want to flip this signal into RHY).

I didn't even mention WQBT this time. The Station seems kind of empty right now the Airstaff is down to a minimum. Is Triple A the Only Mix DJ now? All he can do is add the "Drain effect" to songs and put in his "AAA" comment and "street executives" comment, not very impressive. However they are due credit, even with Bo Money leaving, the Playlist got better. I know T-Roy is the new afternoon personality, but is he PD? As much as I would like to have a RHY in Sav, I have to be realistic, probably wont happen any time soon.

No offense, but as a radio listener and someone NOT in the business, the change at Z102 is not a favorable one. I like current music, but this is just horrific. And Bob and Sheri? I find them horrible and not entertaining at all. Who wants to listen to whining first thing in the morning?

I listen to bob and sherrie all day!!! then i stick my head in a oven but thats not important...being in savannah radio is like being in the special olyipics minus the hugs :p
