Savannah - Oldies 98.3 Is Now Big 98

They're playing alot of songs from the '70s ("Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Baby") and some '60s songs. It's not really AC or Oldies. It sounds more like a '70s station though the name of that format escapes me at the time.

I've not heard their positioner yet.

Classic Hits? Well, there goes another decent station....

Surely it isn't as horrible as that so-called 'Oldies' train wreck in Charleston (WXLY)?

Well, it was nice over the last 6 months or so that Oldies 98.3 came back. I sure would hate to hear the 60's era disappear for the most part from the station.

Looks like Oldies just wont work anymore.

They are a Classic Hits Format. I think they are Copying CBS-FM in NYC which was Oldies in it's 1st Life, and is Classic Hits the 2nd time around

Stench boy likes the music from 1965 to 1979---let's see that would appeal to who besides Stench? Hmmm let me think now, don't give any hints...if I was 13 years old in 65 I would be 55 today? 13 years old in 1979 I guess, wait don't tell me....uhhhh 41 years old---ok I got it a format that appeals to people 41 to 55!!!! So if a station plays music from pre 65? Assisted Living! God's Waiting Room. I got it now. Whew I'm tired now all that thinking.

Big's PD has stated that they're playing songs from the '70s, plus hits from 1964-69.

They're not playing the same songs that their sister station, 103.1 The Drive, is.

(And hey, I noticed the meteorologists on WSAV stating that the viewer can get their Storm Team 3 forecast every day on Big 98.3. Might a format flip be in the offing for 103.1 The Drive?)
