Saving WTPA

I somewhat enjoy listening to both TPA and RED these days. They sound like they are trying harder to gain some listenership. RED has a midday jock who sounds good. thought at first that they were voicetracking someone from out of market....but he is local. The main Cumulus stations are either voicetracked or jockless in this daypart. I was listening to TPA Sunday night and they had a live partimer on. His name is Bill Moulfair and he's been in the market for awhile. Did partime on WINK at one time and did morning news on Q106 back in the late 70's. Everyone else was automated. It's also refreshing to listen to non Clear Channel stations these days. I'm getting tired of hearing about nothing else but the iheart Music Festival. Sorry...but it aint no Woodstock.

Agree with you Boss...I like listening to Kiss and Hot to keep up on current CHR, but both would be so much better with all local personalities! Aside from Puff and Sami mornings on Hot, is anyone else on either station completely live and local?
