Doesn't necessarily mean anything. KDJM 92.5 in Denver stunted by saying they were going to "Set Denver free," or something of the like. However, they became KLWL Willie 92.5 "Wide Open Country." I think they said something to the effect of they were setting Denver free from the boring corporate playlists of KYGO when they flipped to Willie 92.5. I also checked, and freefm1027.com and 1027freefm.com have not been registered.
I would also agree that going Free FM wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for 102.7. My personal inclination is that the whole Free FM concept will fall flat on its face, and fast. It just doesn't seem to have much content (in most cases, the Free FM's will have plenty of music programming still), and I don't see David Lee Roth as a radio host, though time will tell. However, I also agree that K-Rock needs to do something. It's tanking horribly and needs to be put out of its misery.
