Say Bye to I

Hey; better to change it now when they're still rolling out the changeover from the PAX days... I think ratings will improve as they keep adding new shows.

You mean old shows?

Well okay yes, old shows, but old shows that are new to "Ion" and hopefully some of which havn't been syndicated to death in the last 10 years. It's trying to base itself as sort of a "Nick At Nite Lite".

I would venture a guess and say there won't be any classic shows that won't be seen on the ION Network. The I Network promised classic shows and when they did showed them they dropped them basically right off the bat. What we will probably be seeing more of out of the ION Network is more infomericals than anything else. :(

Break out the shovels, folks. :(

What ever it is, its still better than MyNetworkTV (if only Ion had affiliates...)

Ion has a few affiliates in places where they don't own stations. Most people don't want to carry hours and hours of informercials if they won't get much kickback from them though.

But are I affiliates required to show the infomercials too?

No- often the stations show their own infomercials in place of the ones on the national feed.
Which makes more sense than it sounds - Ion gets most of the profits from the national infomercials, whereas with local infomercials, all the money goes to the affiliate.

For those Pax affiliates that air sports telecasts, like in Atlanta: Do they stay true to their roots and call it like "Hawks Basketball Presented By Guthy/Renker"?

In most cases, the teams buy the time on these stations, just like Guthy/Renker.
