WB is cancelling 7th Heaven after 10 seasons in a cost-cutting move, and Fox is axing Arrested Development and Kitchen Confidential due to low ratings.

"7th Heaven"'s cancellation is long-overdue.

It's truly a shame about "Arrested Development". One of the better comedies on TV. It was nice to see FOX give it a try. Maybe another network would pick this up.

If I was at NBC, I'd pick up "Arrested Development" and put it on Tuesday nights:

8PM - "Arrested Development"
8:30PM - "Scrubs"
9PM - "My Name Is Earl"
9:30PM - "The Office"

Now *THAT'S* Must-See TV.

I agree with that.
Another possibility is

8PM "My Name is Earl"
8:30PM "Scrubs"
9PM "The Office"
9:30PM "Arrested Development"

only because NBC has established "My Name is Earl", where "Arrested Development" would be new to the network.

I actually like that better. Plus, I think the viewer retention going into "Arrested Development" would be very good. Hopefully, NBC will realize the amazing synergy here and pick up "AD" ASAP.

Agreed. It's a perfect fit with that lineup in a way it could never have been with anything on Fox. Actually, the same could be said for Kitchen Confidential as well, but since it's nowhere near as good anyway, who cares?

Of the three, the only quality show is Arrested Development. Hopefully it will be picked up elsewhere.
______________

How funny you mention that because that's exactly what I was thinking. But, I wouldn't start off the night with "AD". I was thinking this would follow "Scrubs" perfectly.

But then again, look at what NBC is doing to "Scrubs."

"Hi, CBS?..."

Boy, That Would Be An Amazing Lineup!

I Think "Earl" And "The Office" Are Both Great Shows.

"The Office" Isn't Getting Great Ratings But I Think It's

Because Enough People Aren't Aware of It.

I Hope NBC Sticks With It.

"Scrubs" Is Still A Good Show.

Adding "Arrested Development" to The Mix Would Be Wonderful.

I've actually watched this show for the past two years. My one wish with the show is they'd stop doing The commercial tie-ins, like they did this week with the Campbell's Soup Company. That, plus the show is TOO sugary sweet most of the time.

On a side note, this could be Beverley Mitchell's chance to break her goodie-twoshoes image and do a Maxim spread. She's 24 (but playing younger) and is quite easy on the eyes, if I do say so myself. Hey, if Jessica Biel (Mary Camden) could do "Gear", why can't Bev?

The 7th Heaven cancellation is overdue. It was a pretty good show the first 5 years or so, but things have gone downhill. You have to give the show credit though, 10 seasons is a long time.

Cancelling Arrested Develepment is a bad move.
______________
