Making money, yes. Ratings? decent, but not enough to keep it going. Plus there were issues involving the station's airstaff turnover, its musical content, trying to attract better advertisers, etc, etc.

As for the displaced listeners, chances are that they might migrate to either Top 40/CHR KKRZ (Z100) or Rhythmic Hot AC KVMX (MOViN' 107.5), which BTW have been leaning more towards Top 40/Rhythm for the past couple of weeks.

I think Hits and Hip Hop would be a good idea for 107.5 considering the void for Rhythmic/Urban now. They could still spike in a few classics and some Dance-pop to keep some of the old listeners, but keep it focused on new music. The Movin Format is a ticking time bomb anyway, just like the Jack stations, its just a flavor that wont last.

Well having listened to the station online, I have to say that they sound good. I met the station's PD Lisa Adams when she was at a event in Everett, Washington when she was the PD at KQMV(MOViN' 92.5)/Seattle and she is a passionate fan of Rhythmic music, including the Dance/Pop stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if she does spike in a few Rhythmic Pop/Dance tracks at "JAMMiN' 107.5."

BTW here's the updated links...

Thanks Robert,,, Jammin 107.5 does sound pretty good, and does have a good PD. I bet the station sounds even better in a month or so from now.

ONE YEAR folks!!!

A couple of my best friends and I have dinner at McCormick & Shmicks riding on this bet!

Tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tic tictictictictictictictictictictictictictictic................................

I have been listening to MOViN 1075 online while MOViN 99.7 has a long commerical break.

I liked MOViN and I noticed whrn Jammin took over they play the old and new hip-hop/R&B like MOViN 1075 did but with more new music!
