Say Goodbye To "The Bonnie Hunt Show!"

That means WMAQ-TV will have to find another program to fill the 2pm time slot. I'm not sure how much longer it'll be before Days of Our Lives will be cancelled, and that time slot will need alternative programming as well (Chicago airs DOUL at 1pm CT).

A network-owned station in a Top 3 market was even airing that show? They'd have been better off airing infomercials. In fact... don't be surprised if that's the route they go at some point...

Bonnie's show was better than the "I slept with 5000 men, who the hell is the father of my baby?" Maury Show and the "I'm married but I boinked my sister and my wife's sister and a transvestite" Jerry Springer Show.

Oh, so Maury and Jerry have toned down the acts a bit in recent years? ;D

WPHL-TV did air the show at 7 AM Monday-Friday but they have apparently took it off the schedule. Before that WPSG aired the show at 2 AM Tuesday-Saturday.

In Sactown, KCRA 3 had Bonnie Hunt at 2 PM in the first season, but dropped it in season 2. No other Sactown TV station carries her. KNTV however in the Bay Area still has her at 2 PM with Wendy Williams 3 PM and Ellen 4 PM, but I think that new show MomLogic will be taking over her slot at 2 PM come 9/2010. It's just a shame that she really struck out but I really look forward to touching her cheeks everyday on the TV everytime I look at her. :D

I'd watch Maury over Bonnie Hunt anyday. At least the Dumbasses on Maury make me laugh.

I absolutely agree. But you may have things better where you live. In the Detroit market, one of the stations runs "judge" shows from 9:00am until 3:00pm....solid. Depressing.

Same thing here in the Hartford Market. Judge Shows 11AM-3PM on TXX-TV (Formerly CW20, which The Tribune owned CW station co-owned with FOX Connecticut (formerly FOX 61).

11AM Judge Mathis, 12Noon Judge Pirro (sp?), 1PM Judge Alex, 2PM Divorce Court

FOX 61 used to be really bad with the trash talk, but serious toned it down. Now the line-up is:

9AM Maury, 10AM Dr. Oz (Next day repeat), 11AM FOX CT Midday News, 1130 Family Feud, 12Noon 5th Grader, 1PM Millionaire, 2PM Jerry, 3PM Steve, 4PM The Doctors, and 5PM Dr. Oz. They no longer double run springer like they used to. They still double run Maury, but the second episode airs at 230AM. (I'll still watch an infomercial over Maury).

Getting back on topic in Hartford Bonnie is on at 12Noon on NBC O&O NBC Connecticut HD. (Yes that's the branding). I don't know what they'll do with the slot. They already have a newscast at 11AM, which used to be on at 10AM until NBC brought in The Kathie Lee and Hoda Today Show.

if they're lucky, NBC Connecticut - excuse me, NBC Connecticut HD - will fill the void with infomercials.

Most NBC if not all NBC O&O's are filling up Bonnie's old slot for the new show MomLogic. WVIT was known as NBC 30 before changing to NBC Connecticut (a la KNTV's former NBC 3/11/Bay Area branding) and I think that the only way is that WVIT would follow their route and air MomLogic and not infomercials.

Come on now! You don't think it's funny when some woman is on Maury saying that the guy IS the Father because she has only been with him. And then the test results say differently, and she runs off crying like a Dumbass. Now that is quality TV. ;D
