That article certainly nails a lot of things that suck about this industry right now. It's also why, even in the majors these days, the talent level is nowhere near what it used to be (younger, not as experienced people who will come in and work for less money, rather than the polished, major-market-sounding jock who demands a few more bucks.) The companies would rather sacrifice the level of talent than pay people what they should. Listen to Chicago, NY, LA....so many jocks there dont have any kind of major market "vibe" anymore...BUT, the company got 'em cheap! Gotta love what consolidation has created.

Why does every thread about WILD-FM/WAAF have to be poisoned with the Race Card crap?

Give up. WILD-FM isn't coming back. Entercom isn't racist against the Black Man. They made a business decision to change the format. Radio One made a business decision to sell the station. Stop including racial jabs in your posts. It's really getting old. Get over the fact that your Black-geared format isn't coming back anytime soon.

Get off the race card garbage. Not everything in radio has to do with being against the Black Man. Quit the Rah-Rah-Rah Black Power and Kill Whitey crap. We don't need it around here.
