That article certainly nails a lot of things that suck about this industry right now. It's also why, even in the majors these days, the talent level is nowhere near what it used to be (younger, not as experienced people who will come in and work for less money, rather than the polished, major-market-sounding jock who demands a few more bucks.) The companies would rather sacrifice the level of talent than pay people what they should. Listen to Chicago, NY, LA....so many jocks there dont have any kind of major market "vibe" anymore...BUT, the company got 'em cheap! Gotta love what consolidation has created.
