Since you decided to axe most of your dance music recently, I can't seem to find a good reason to listen to you now. You say it's because of ratings, but I thought you were trying to differentiate yourself from every other CHR in town and now you're starting to sound just like the others, only with less power.

On a brighter note, I am happy to report that I just ordered Sirius for my new car!

Just to clarify, I am sad to see the dance go and I don't want to be accused of not having talked nicely about or helped promote the station.

I was about to say. ...  :-\

Just glad that these days I spend a majority of my time outdoors anyway and the walkman/mp3 player stays packed up so I'm not thinking about the radio much most of the time throughout the day. Other than that, it's Goldmine at night or while I'm in the car now.

Well we had a great summer, 2012. That's pretty much all that counts at this point - great summer vibes.

Even with Hot 97.5 going towards a top 40 and pop rock sound, 103.9 is still leading with breaking new pop rock material first. I guess the difference is that Hot 97.5 isn't trying to be adult, but they ARE playing more pop rock than other chr's, so technically, they're still different.

The ratings show both of those stations are disaster areas. 97.5 was doomed from the start; a bad signal for anyone east of about 99th Avenue and/or not listening in a car and the format was VERY niche. As for 103.9 ... I was in Tampa for a year and I would check in from time to time and found that they tweaked that format almost monthly, now that I've been back here a few months I find it's changed TWICE just this summer! The Dave Pratt experiment didn't work, the whatever was there before didn't and what they're doing now which I would best categorize as dart at a dartboard isn't working either.

I dare say that we have too many frequencies in this market or perhaps just improper usage of most of them. It's almost impossible to find good radio here anymore.
