Attention all radio pros and radio geeks... You are invited to the first ever SC Radio-Info Eat & Greet... Mark you calenders for Saturday August 25th at 5PM at Wild Wings located at The Village at Sandhill. This is a great opportunity to put a face with all of the posters on the SCRI board... If you know of any posters who does not check the board, but does post feel free to let them know what is going on... Lets see how this turns out and if it goes over with a bang I want to make this an annual event but try to have it in different parts of the state... Broker the airport Steve is talking about is Woodward Field in Camden... It is a small town airport so you may want to Google them and find out what their hours of operation are since it will be on a weekend... CC1
Sandhills is real easy to find. Giving my parents directions to my house was really easy.
The restaurant is in the "Town Center" area of the Sandhills complex. Head towards Belk, and its on one of the quadrants on the circle by the fountain... right across from Red Bowl and diagonal from Yankee Candle.

Yep, John Kilgo. Awesome guy, great friend. Not too swell on finding my old 'KZQ jackets. Bring the APE suit anyway (whose stuff from back in the day fits nowadays anyway? lol). I was thinking it would be pretty cool for any attendee to bring any station logo stuff (if they still have it) from when they worked at their respective stations. NO STATION VANS!

Thanks a lot, Carroll. You started me reminiscing about Big Blue. I thought I had totally forgotten the time I was running late for a remote out at Best Buy on Harbison. I was hauling ass (in the Boom Box) up Bull Street, hung a hard left onto Elmwood, merged onto 26 and was doing about 70 mph up 26....and then I saw the pair of legs sticking out the side of the Boom Box(where you would've walked between the big speaker and the door to get into the Boom Box). Apparently a wino had climbed up there and passed out on the trailer between the speaker and the door. Needless to say, it was the ride of his life. Oh yeah, almost forgot....he thoroughly enjoyed his field trip to Best Buy.
Yup I remember the Boom Box making a few trips to Camden... For some reason the McDonald's on De Kalb street was always popular for you guys... I remember that monster being at the state fair every year, but don't remember when you guys put her to rest... Robyn you have been very quiet I hope you make it to the get together... I sent Powell a few emails as well, but they came back as undeliverable so if there are any Ham on the board who can get W4OPW to post on here that would be awesome... CC1
