SCA AI News misidentifies criminal suspect.

In a recent episode of ABC Media Watch, it was pointed out that Southern Cross Austereo’s new found heavy reliance on AI in news bulletins was a slippery slope.

Earlier this week, the prophecy was for filled.

The sad part is that AI is "voicing" hourly news bulletins on a major radio network. Just another way to not have to pay for an anchor or news personality on their radio stations. No emotion, no personality, just synthetic and fabricated.

I really hope ABC News and Fox News don't go to AI for their hourly radio newscasts...ever! I thought the Weatherology prerecorded voicebites were bad enough! "Mostly cloudy. Saturday. High 38. Winds south. 5-10 mph. Clear and cold. Saturday night..."
