Sniff. Mourning the loss. 107.1. Listen and weep with me, oh Classic Country lovers. Granted, the station blew. Was hoping the Big Dogs at Cumulous would work some magic. Wrong Magic. Drat.

Barbi....if you remember correctly, I said there was NO WAY they would keep it classic country. In case you or the others want to revisit what I said you can view my post on it...or I have pasted it here:

"Why in the hell would Cumulus keep it classic country when NO ONE is listening to it?? Think man, think!! If you can. Next!"

What is the one thing the Cedar Rapids market is lacking...an oldies station! Anyone could see that. Yeah, there's KOKZ out of Waterloo, but they don't do ANYTHING in this market and if you put the DJ's from that station standing next to a pile of rocks, people would have trouble picking out who the radio personality was and who the pile of limestone was. It only makes sense.

As for changing the format...classic country blows. Dead twangy singers/Dead twangy songs. I know some will mourn the loss of Conway Twitty and Patsy Cline. I, for one, will not.

I'm just curious why every time I post on this board I get attacked? Why couldn't you just say that going Oldies makes sense? Why the hostility? Why does my personal taste offend you? What about me is such a threat to your peace and tranquility? My post was a lighthearted way to give everyone a heads up that a change was happening at 107.1 in case they hadn't already caught it. I just don't get it. Skeezix, can't wait to hear from you Buddy. Huggy Wuggy Baby!

This morning at 9 AM we find out where the format wheel lands at on 107.1 I say Goodtime Oldies like Stickman says. Is it just me or is anyone else getting tired of hearing Good Times by Chic... (pronounced Sheek and not Chick for you younger jocks) I used to like that song too! Anyone know what the other song is that they are rotating??? I wonder if they will actually have a studio line?

By the way... Barbi tron bites!!! LOL )

Listen, if there's anyone here who's ridden ANYTHING, you'd be jealous, so I guess if I was getting as little action as you, I'd be bitter too. When we "used to work together" YOU were EMPLOYED in the radio industry. Sorry you can't get a job. If Norton's so easy, then you would be on the air right now! (By the way, I've NEVER worked with you or for Norton....so kiss my @#$%^&*)
