Scatter shooting while wondering around DFW Radio

A few things I have noticed about DFW radio.

Dan & Tasos are doing mornings on 105.3 next week. Is this really the best choice?
P & K would make more sense to me. No knock to D&T but P&K are more established. Put them in mornings and let Dan and Tasos do midday’s. Let them cut their teeth there.

Are you kidding me? How much did they spend on this crappy line up? The Wolf’s Texas show last night will probably make more money then this trash!!! Hello Citadel

Speaking of the Wolf has anyone else noticed how bad the jocks are?

Hal Jay is celebrating his 25th year at WBAP! Good for him! It is always great to hear of a really good guy that does something special.

The Bone should flip!
Bad Radio should be fired!

The Musers, Hal and Bo&Jim are the only morning shows worth listing to!

I am excited can 1190 do anything? Will they try?

Should someone put Jim Rome back on and give him a real chance in DFW?

Pugs and Kelly should of done a show on The Edge. I think they're worth listening than Lex and Terry. Oh, what am I saying? They're all bad. Russ should do mornings again. Then again, I was informed that he doesn't want to do mornings.

At least they're better than Kidd, DLR, Tony and Crappy, and L&T combined. Ricky Smiley is good to listen to.

Here's some more...

Bring back KDL (yeah, in my dreams) and move Casa to a bigger frequency. Clear Channel should do the trick.

Mix needs "The 90's and Now" and renamed "Max 102.9" (that's if Casa doesn't work). You guys are too AC-ish and sound like KVIL pounding Green Day and Nickelback a lot.

93.7 should of been targeting Texoma instead of the metroplex. I can even recieve it here in north Dallas. Same goes with 97.5 in Collin County.

Speaking of 97.5, what's the deal with another transmitter of the same freq down in Grand Prarie?<P ID="signature">______________

I have a feeling Gavin the Talking Hand Puppet(operated by Russ Martin) is giving them a shot because he's tired of hearing about much DLR sucks.

Its cheap and easy, just like a lady on harry hines. Welcome to the citadel era.

Ive heard better air talent over on KNON 89.3

Hal was the reason I got into the business to begin with. My pop always had him tuned in on 820 when I was a kid.

How scotts' kept his job is anyones guess. If new managment is smart, they'll flip to alt. rock, can his sorry butt and bring in someone with real experience.

Musers are about the only decent thing coming out of the susquehanna nation.

Maybe, with time and money sunk into the project.

I bet ya $20 when the susquehanna sale goes final, he'll be on the ticket

No way. Bob Sturm is the only full-time talent on the entire Ticket who provides exceptional NFL analysis.

Don't get me wrong. The Ticket is entertaining and MAY be the best station in this era of Dallas Radio. But most of the hosts talk pro football like guys who were picked last in pick-up games when they were kids.

Sturm seems to understand the game. And that goes a LONG way in a market where many of the listeners were talented high school football players and above.

When skip comes rolling in it makes a mess of 97.5 with that Grand Prarie transmitter you talk about along with KLAK and don't forget KWTX out of Waco as well.<P ID="signature">______________

Haven't thought about Blackie Sherrod in awhile. Makes me miss those Friday morning columns!

As for the radio part...

I can't stand the Ticket. They are slipping BIG TIME lately in the ratings. I understand the schtick they are trying to pull off...but they stray WAY too far form sports. FOr every 2 min of sports, you get 15 minutes of how cool they are...what was on TV...and how bad they all sucked back when they were music jocks.

Bone actually is doing what people here have been hollering about. PLaying some newer music and folding in the Metallica, STP, etc...Prolly not enough to save them though.
