Unfortuantly FOX 61 will continue showing that Paternity Test Talk Show Maury 3 times a day at 10AM, 2PM, and 4PM. Unfortunatly FOX 61 (along with its sister station WB 20) will continue to show nothing but infomercials between 5AM and 9AM daily. (Note: WB 20 airs a cartoon 7AM-730AM M-F).

What would you air, Jay , or anyone, at those times?
If you could run the station,
2pm, 4pm, and in the morning?

What shows aren't currently shown in Hartford?

Curious.

Who's the boss isn't airing on any local station in Hartord. It's only on Nick @ Nite in the Middle of the Night. It's on a local station in NYC - WWOR/9. Reruns of My Wife and Kids don't air in Hartford. It's on 5PM-6PM on WB 11 in NYC. The Fugitive, The Brady Bunch, and Family Matters don't air in Hartford. They all air on TV 69 in Allentown, PA.

And don't tell me those shows are too old. WCTX/59 airs Taxi, Cheers, Cosby 5 days a week.

Re: FOX 61 Morning Schedule

Jay Clark is Mark B noted earlier in this thread about early-morning programming on WTXX-20 and WTIC-61 being mainly infomercials.

What WTIC should do is launch a local morning news show from 7 to 9 A.M., with perhaps an additional hour or two added later. Many Fox-owned stations or Fox-affiliated stations like WTIC have launched local morning shows head-to-head against the network morning shows. In quite a few cities, these local morning shows have become number-one in their time periods, beating all three network morning shows.

Yes, WCTX-59 runs an hour-long morning news show produced by sister station WTNH-8 from 7 to 8 A.M., but I feel that with the increasing popularity of the Fox network's program schedule and that local morning shows have been very successful on Fox affiliates in other cities, I think that were WTIC to try it, and do it right, they would become quite successful within two years of launching a local morning show. And by "quite successful", I think they'd be either number-one or close to it.
