Schoonover out from The Smith

The Finger Lakes Times is reporting that Kevin Schoonover is resigning as Executive Director of The Smith Opera House. They're citing "creative differences over arts development".

I haven't worked with Kevin much...just the Live From Geneva concert series. But in that span I can categorically state he was quite pleasant and professional to work with. It's a shame that he's leaving.

For reference, the Smith is operated by the Finger Lakes Regional Arts Council, which also holds the license for WHWS-LP in Geneva.

It's the Buffalo-Niagara Falls/Rochester RADIO Messageboard.

Executive Director of what? Where?

Apparently you missed this part of the original post:

There's the RADIO connection.

Perhaps you missed the reference to low power WHWS which was run by Hobart and William Smith colleges cited in Aaron's post, Steven. Aaron is a veteran poster on this board so he's well aware of it's subject. He thought it was significant enough to share with the radio-info family.

I guess I felt it was a bit of a reach.
