In the early days of progressive rock radio, there were the DJs playing music, but news was also part of the lifestyle. At San Francisco's KSAN, one of the first rock newsmen was Scoop Nisker. He was later heard on Pacifica and NPR. He passed away last week. He was best-known for his man on the street interviews. He'd walk up to people and just engage in conversation.
