Scot Miller, HJJ making things worse?

Miller was subbing for Helen Glover today, I guess all week? Scot dropped a dime saying HJJ may put him on!
I listened to him on and off for at least an hour. He's worse then Dave Barber! I remember thar Miller and John Depetro HATE eachother. Would HJJ really want to put Miller on against Depetro?

I heard Scott Allen Miller today too. He sucks. Talk about 'fake'! ::)
Tony Far was on Friday and Monday. About 4 times better .
Miller got next to no calls and made Mike Keheo sound exciting!

Over at WPRO they have a talent named Matt Allen. WPRO stupidly keeps pushing him aside
for just about anyone who comes along.
I think Tony F. is WHJJs Matt Allen.
 
Matt Allen reads this board. He would have to. He's not that out of the loop. So maybe we can eventually talk some sense into the guy. Dude... stop being pushed aside. You've got TALENT and You deserve better!

I'm going to say it one last time...let's stop trying to push Matt out of the door. He is a big boy and probably knows what is what (when I've met him, very smart person), so let's stop the pretense that he is getting pushed aside and accept that he likes what he is doing where he is doing it.

At the moment, I wouldn't step foot on WHJJ as the place is such a mess that I'd be afraid of losing my job in 3-6 months because Clear Channel makes a decision to do away with ANY local talk there because the ratings just don't support it. Matt would be in a VERY bad position because I don't think Citadel would bring him back if that did happen.

As far as Tony goes, I have had the chance to listen to him a lot over the summer when he's filled in for Helen and just because you can shout over a caller doesn't make you a good host. Neither of them (Helen and Tony) have impressed me with the times I have stopped and listened to either one
 
Yes for once and for all who the hell wants to work at WHJJ?Period!
And does DePetro have a feud with every radio person on the face of the planet?
 
I heard Tony , when one of the IWW calls screamed at him, it was great, because he gave it right back to her. Nobody screams like Dan Yorke and most of the time it's justified. Anyway, Matt and Tony are ' Two peas in a pie" - from Dans show. I hope things work out for them. I was not impressed with Allen Miller .

When Miller's numbers starting falling through the floor at the end of 2006, DePetro publicly blamed Miller for killing the audience when his late morning program tanked. Don't know if he personally hated him, but he definitely had professional differences with him.

I'm a bad rapper, but I listen well! TSB, you are RIGHT! Depetro really gave it to Miller, I think Depetro was just saying the truth! I 'm close with some at RKO and I remember the telling of a HUGE verbal fight Depetro and Miller had at RKO. They don't like eachother AT ALL!
I think Tony is a better fit at HJJ with Glover, and as to Matt Allen, HJJ should grap him! Or at least try.

Well with all the money they saved by not snagging Buddy they should be able to do some local hiring.

What about Rush? Wpro is going to PUSH Rush to WHJJ. It has to happen.
What will happen to Helen Glover? I believe WHJJ must carry Hannity,
where the hell does Glover go? Figure Beck, Rush, Hannity. Thats 10 am to 6 pm!
And WPRO , by hiring one man, they made talk radio more of a NUT HOUSE than
ever before. That man, Vinny Buddy Cianci. Two time convicted felon. 2 stations
turned upside down. Good people careers messed with. WELCOME TO RADIO! Walter.
 
I don't care if Matt Allen goes to HJJ or KFI. It doesn't make any difference to me. Just for his own career I would love to see him move up the ranks. I've seen lots of people get to comfortable in their current position and remain loyal to one station, only to end up getting booted out the door because some Corporate Suit needs to cut 4 people from the payroll. Management is not loyal to you. Anybody in radio can have their front door key taken away within 24 hours of when I post this message. Go ask Dave Barber. Go ask Imus!!!

Trust me... nobody is happier for Matt than I am if he is truly where he wants to be. But it would be a total shame for him to end up being the oldest living Producer to ever grace the halls of WPRO. Let's forward ahead to the year 2020. Will Matt be doing the exact same thing in 13 years? Will he be passed over 20 more times? Will he regret his decision? Only time will tell. But so far I don't see WPRO rushing to make any room for him on the schedule. That would probably be enough disrespect right there to make me want to leave. But that's just my personal feeling.

Whatever happens... Good Luck Matt. You deserve the best! I hope one day you get it.

Let me guess. Matt is hiring Skynet as his agent. I now pronounce you Matt and Skynet.
 
I think Matt Allen is playing his cards right. So far he has just been a victim of bad timing. (with the exception of the Dave Barber gig- that should of been his). But J.Dipetro gets more pub he is going to get that spot anyway. Then along comes Buddy, same issue.
He is developing quite an audience as Yorke's back-up and his Saturday show is very good. If he left for 920 he would have to go to a second best show with a different philosophy. He is a good fit at 630, if he bides his time, all will work out well. He has talent.
 
I think Rheem is right. I heard P.D. Paul Giammarco ,when Allen was subbing for Yorke. Giammarco said ,
"Trust me, I'm working on something for you Matt". I believe that. I hope Matt does too. Walter.
 
Is that what you heard Walter?
Is there a job title on Wampanoag of "fly on the wall"?
