Scott Burns

I think he's doing comedy, driving an airport shuttle and suing Entercom.

Scott is leasurely enjoying reinventing himself - first as a Shuttle Bus driver (worse than radio - long hours, dirty working conditions and no free concert tix) and now doing his one-man stand up show (which is very funny - even my wife laughed at his 'inside' radio jokes). Don't be surprised to hear him back on the air soon - it'd be good to hear Scotty all by 'his-own' self'.

Such a creative jock. He was/is an example of a jock with so much potential... but seemingly couldn't ever put it all together. I hope he will soon.

I would have said "sad" about his driving a shuttle until I heard the John Mac Flanigan story. After a million years he left radio and became a security guard. WITH A GREAT ATTITUDE. Now, after 8 years OUT, he is back IN. KFRC San Francisco.

Scott Burns here! Thank you the compliments and concerns regarding my whereabouts. I'm unfamiliar with the details of John Mack Flanagan's stint as a security guard, but I can only assume and empathize his decision was to not let radio define who he is. What IS sad are guys who wear their radio jackets in public when they're not working simply to have people wonder who they are.

As for the Shuttle Express experience, that lasted only six days. Being tied up with a non-compete I was seeking something to do outside of radio while allowing me the opportunity to do voice jobs and auditions during the day. After having to give up a voice job that would have paid more than one week of driving I turned in my Thomas Guide map and company tie emblazoned with "Flags of the World."

The upside is I worked the experience into my one man stage show, a story of termination, determination and triumph! I want to thank my broadcasting buds John Maynard and Joe Michaels again for bringing Richard Peterson to the show. (I now have another story added to my "building.")

In spite of the fact I don't have my own show I'm thrilled to have been invited on as a guest with some of the major greats in this area. Pat Cashman, Gary Crow, Dave Ross and BJ Shea...what pros! It was so nice working with real professionals.

Meanwhile I'm developing a new website that will hopefully quench your thirst for knowledge regarding everything "Scott Burns."

Drive safely,

Scott

I forgot to mention Fitz in the Morning!!! He had me on one morning helping to promote G-SALE!
Thank you again Fitz, that was a high octane experience!
G-SALE by the way is a film about a bunch of garage sale junkies in the fictional town of Bogwood Washington. It's a quirky "mockumentary" ala Christopher Guest movies like Best In Show, This Is Spinal Tap and Waiting For Guffman.
Winner of a bunch of Film Festival awards, G-SALE stars familiar Seattle talent Mary White, Tracey Conway, Matt Riedy and of course...ME! Because it's all about MEEEE!
Check it out...available through Amazon.com or www.bogwoodfilms.com
Just in time for the holiday season! Makes an excellent conversation piece if you balance it on your head at cocktail parties as well!

GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU, SCOTT!! Good luck on "G-Sale." Knowing your talent, it no doubt is a gem.
To protect the innocent and/or guilty w/o ID'ing 70radio, think about 15(?) years ago, maybe less, and think Jillian's! Yeah, you kicked our butts. ;)
Keep on keepin' on!

Hey 70Radio!!!
Yes I know who you are!! ;D Great to have you lift your mask for a brief second. I confess I've misplaced your email under my reams of scrap paper. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you'd like.
While I'm at it I want to thank Jackson Dell Weaver too for the kind review of my show! I'm happy your wife laughed at the inside radio comments. JDW and all of the other guys in the Nordy's Group have been SUCH great supporters...man what an excellent collection of human beings. Major kudo's to George Toles for his tireless wisdom, wit and clarity in leading this group!

Scotty-

Happy to hear you're still cookin' along. All the best for your One Man Show...sounds like a hoot.
