Scott Ferrall is the worst

Is it just me or is Scott Ferrall the worst ever. I don't like mike and mike but they are better then Scott Ferrall. If u like him tell me why.

It's perfectly okay and understandable to dislike Ferrall on the bench. Although, he's been doing the same but for 20+ years now. It shouldn't come as any surprise. Take it or leave it but it's still the same.

scott was an acquired taste but peaked in the mid 90s and really shouldn't be at a national level anymore. time to move on...

I remember him from the days on the original incarnation of 680 the Fan in Atlanta in the early 1990's before he went Nationwide on the Sports Entertainment Network. I loved his enthusiasm and schtick. He would imagine hockey fights and call the action as if it were happening live. It was ridiculous. Now 20 years later he's still got it somewhat...but he's not as good as it once was. Listening to him now is a nostalgia kick. I can understand why many listeners do not like him, especially since his voice is so grinding.

IIRC He was the first voice of the Atlanta Thrashers hockey team when that franchise started up...the franchise is long gone to Winnipeg now.

But if you get past the voice, he's not that bad. The voice is the schtick. Everybody's got to have a differentiator.
I used to listen when he was on 1on1 Sports, but that's been a while.
Give it time.

I agree with that about giving it time. I am starting to enjoy the show after just a couple listens.

I agree. If you can get past the voice and maybe the music bed underneath him through the show, you might like what you hear. If you can't, then you won't.

Just remember him burning out, and burning lots of bridges, at KNBR in the mid-90s. Seems like he's hopped around a lot since.

Scott Ferall's been with Sirius XM on Howard Stern's Channel 101 for years and he show's been great. Bringing it to CBS radio at night was a GREAT move. Perfect time slot and he's got a following in NY, Philly, Pittsburg, among other markets

Corporate wants it to be WFAN-AM in New York; until then, it's 24/7 on an HD-3 channel in that market...

Scott Ferrall: The Mark Levin of sports radio! :D

Ding dong, Ferrall is like Mark Levin of sports. No way he talks like that around his house, to the kids, wife and dog. Still like the show, reminds me of the old days with Papa Joe and Pete Franklin.

It is his real voice.
For whatever reason it developed to that very gravelly sound.
His father though has a perfect deep radio baritone. (ironic that the son went into radio)

I really liked the music on the old FoxSportsRadio "Ferrall on the Bench" show.
Sounds like they toned the music down for this CBS show. (though haven't listened in a few weeks so maybe they let him turn it up recently)

When this new show started you could tell he was really tight, trying to be on his best behavior and not step over the politically correct line.
Hopefully he is relaxing and letting his personality shine.

I have enjoyed Ferrall's show on CBS so far. I like the music played in the background and his crew really makes the show enjoyable as well. Props to "Mafia" and "Sizzle". I think the people making the calls on CBS are doing a good job. I hope they don't go the way FSR did in the near future.
