In Scott Fybush's "Northeast Radio Watch" for Monday, May 9th, he stated that WEVF-FM, 90.3 serving Metropolitan Colebrook, NH will SUPPLANT W290BK. Sound the klaxon...both outlets seem to be operating at present. I first noticed the appearance of WEVF's call letters during a regular station ID on NH Public Radio, one that doesn't include most (but not all) translators. (W212AF in Nashua is still on-the-air after seemingly also being SUPPLANTED by a 4-letter-call station, WEVS 88.3; it's never included among the translators when NHPR runs a full list of stations at certain times. Apparently it's "identified" by pulses or something heard only by wombats.) When W290BK first appeared, I thought it remarkable that NHPR had to install a directional antenna way up there. It turned out that there's a station operating on 105.9 in Vermont.
