Scott Graham

I know he does college basketball (Atlantic 10?).

I heard him with canned voiceovers on a semi-automated traffic & weather channel serving Connecticut over Thanksgiving weekend.

Scott Graham is out as Phillies broadcaster!!

Scott Graham, who had been with the Phillies since 1991, will not return. Harry Kalas has signed a 3 year deal to remain with the Phillies. Chirs Wheeler, Larry Anderson and Scott Franzke will be back next season. Joining the broadcast team will be Gary Matthews. Franzke, who joined the booth last season, will have more innings on radio. http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.co...ent_id=1750144&vkey=pr_phi&fext=.jsp&c_id=phi Thoughts on this news anyone?

Re: Scott Graham's Other Gigs

Richard, Scott has plenty of other gigs.

Among the many include: lead voice of college hoops for CN8, NFL Films voiceover talent (namely for NFL Network's Game of the Week), and occasional fill in work with NFL Network, ESPN, and FOX as a play by play guy. He won't be hurting for work, but he'll just have to do a little bit more of the other stuff than he might want to do.

Scott wasn't a bad announcer. His voice is a throwback in my estimation, but obviously he must have burned some bridges somewhere to get axed from the Phillies booth. This I guess begs asking: Is Franzke now setting up to be the heir apprent to Harry the K, or do they go outside in 3 or so years (cough cough Todd Kalas maybe)?

Dear Lord, I hope not. I remember Todd from his "fans in the stands"-type interviews on Prism. Made me cringe. He's a perfect example of why you shouldn't hire a guy because of his last name.
