Hi all,
I just thought I'd drop by this board and invite you to check out my podcast called The Alternative Flashback :30!
It's a 30 minute, weekly show, featuring all of the bands that made alternative music great! From 70s punk, through post-punk/no-wave, 80s new wave, and 90s alt-rock!
I'm a 14 year casualty of the radio biz, currently on the beach and keeping myself busy with this, and having a blast doing it!
Some of you I know from my time on NJ 101.5, some of you I know from this board, either way, I hope you'll all check it out!
The Alternative Flashback :30 is at scotthasick.com, which is home to both The Alternative Flashback :30, and a short, daily podcast called The Song of the Day, where I feature one great song every weekday, from any genre and any decade.

Wow.

Playing RIAA music on a podcast.

You're not scared of incurring their wrath?

Or do you have a podcast license? Very few podcasters have them and they are dicey at best.

your show with casey was soooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun on new jersey 101.5 ... i used to call in as "craig" from margate , or craig from havertown on the "name that tune" show on friday late afternoons


your show was an ABSOLUTE BLAST with casey

After a listen of one of the short and the long..lets see:

Get an interface and a proper mic. Sounds like you're talking over a CB radio.

Needs to be processed. I have a decent setup (Adcom/Tannoy) and it's not even hitting me over the head.

Sounds like someone has been stealing from the prod library. And from the same movies everyone else has...I'm surprised you didn't use the 'Dingo and the Baby' bits from FG as well. Please find some new drops.


All that said, the music is good, and the background info is good.

Now get going.
