Here's the press release:

Clear Channel Radio – Atlanta names Dan Persigehl to Operations Manager of its Atlanta Station Cluster and Program Director of Country WUBL-FM

Atlanta – September 20, 2010 – Clear Channel Radio Atlanta today named Dan Persigehl as its Operations Manager and Program Director of country station WUBL-FM, effective September 30. Persigehl is currently Entercom’s Operations Manager and Program Director for WDAF/KGEX in Kansas City. In his new role, Persigehl will work with program directors of Atlanta’s six radio stations as well as the Georgia News Network and Total Traffic Network. He will be reporting to President/Market Manager, Melissa Forrest.
“Radio has been my passion for some 20+ years,” said Persigehl. “I’m looking forward to working with Melissa and (Senior Vice President Programming) Clay Hunnicutt and growing Atlanta’s cluster to its full potential. I can’t wait to get started!”
“Dan’s leadership and track record of programming success across multiple formats make him a fantastic fit for this position “, said market president Melissa Forrest. “I look forward to seeing the impact Dan’s passion and creativity will have on our Atlanta staff.”
Persigehl’s career in radio includes an assignment in Phoenix where he programmed both KZZP and KMXP to dominant positions with female and adult demos. Anyone know anything about this guy? What's his past history with country stations, success, or not so much? With the Bull doing so well recently, will he just be hands off for awhile, or make immediate changes to try to better the station?

Dan is an amazing programmer. I know first-hand. he was my PD at KZZP in Phoenix, AZ. There are about 30 others in that building at the time that would agree. Trust me he's NOT the type of programmer that thinks his sh** doesn't stink. He's there to do a job and do it good. First and foremost he cares about the listener(s)--not to mention he's got major experience in all formats. The one thing I mss about working for someone like Dan? He's got friggin balls to stick up for his staff. Lu V.

Hope he does well. Not much of a staff to stand up for with all the voice tracking thought. Let's hope his standing up to CC means better products and not a short stint here. I wish him success.
