Scott Pelley and Clint Eastwood

What a disaster. First, CBS comes on live with their coverage of the GOP finale and Scott seems to think Mitt Romney is walking out for his speech. But, no it is actually Clint Eastwood. You would think someone would give Scott an up to date schedule of speakers by airtime. Wow.

Perhaps Pelley was wishfully thinking. Eastwood was rambling, sometimes incoherent, and generally off the mark on what the GOP is trying to accomplish. IMO.

Perhaps Romney will make it all go away. More to come...

This was my first thought when I read earlier today that Eastwood would be making an appearance.

This just in: NBC has already hired Scott Pelley and will be using him for their Olympics coverage. ;D

Did New York even see all of CBS' coverage? WCBS was airing a Jets preseason game.

I was watching on PBS, Louisiana Public Broadcasting to be exact, and a few minutes after 10:00 CDT they abruptly cut off Romney's speech in the middle and went to a commercial for Antiques Roadshow. I quickly switched over to Fox News and stayed there so I don't know if they cut back to the speech or not. Not sure if this was a PBS or LPB screwup, or if someone made the decision to pull the plug on Romney.

I watched on the PBS station so I could see all the coverage, not just what the networks wanted us to. Somehow Condi got cut off in the middle for a "commercial" for PBS programming.

That's why I watched the whole thing on C-Span(1).

I think it was LPB's error; maybe after the promo it was right back to Romney.

The RNC ran over by about 10 minutes last night. Your PBS stations were running automated and assumed politicians would finish on time at 11pm ET. Wishful thinking, clearly.

KDKA-TV(CBS O&O) in Pittsburgh was Airing The Steelers Game that same day but moved its coverage to Sister station WPCW-TV(CW O&O) to air the RNC.

Its Like San Francisco KPIX-TV the CBS O&O pre-empted the 49ers games and sent it over to KBCW 44 the CW O&O/ CBS Secondary station for San Francisco so KPIX can air the RNC coverage.

Lets hope Pelley gets everything right when the DNC does their convention after this weekend.

Provided free as a public service by the cable companies. If it isn't just go online.

See above. My time at libraries that allow me to have sound is really limited. Yesterday I got two hours total but ended up using half of that for two emails I sent myself when a web site shut down and I tried to copy everything. And I forgot to watch Eastwood's speech but now I remember what that link is for that I sent myself.
