Scott Sams lands at KTEN-TV Sherman!

I think scott has served his "40 years in the desert" and deserves another shot at the market. I know id watch to see what kind of fun he'd get into with julie "baloney" bologna and Shannon Hori :D
 
He'll be asked to leave immediately should he ever call traffic gal Teresa Frosini an "Italian B*tch" :p
 
Mike, friend of mine knows her, says shes a pretty decent lady and nowhere near the bee itch factor that alexa is.
 
Nooooo...I didn't mean it that way! I just meant a similar crass remark that'd only get him in hot water. :-X
 
If there are any future or currect rtf majors reading this board, I encourage them to watch the noon day news with Morticia/Alexis. on WFAA Ch.8 Watch.observe,take notes, and when on camera do a "180" of what she does. Your career will be more rewarding,and better.

For future TV weathermen,watch Pete Delkus on ch.8. He reminds me of the old Robot on "Lost in Space" nice gadgets but he totally " does not compute".

Yes, he did. Rich did weather at KTEN for a number of years before moving on to Austin television. I am not sure what he's up to these days.
Rich is pretty good guy who got a very raw deal in Wichita Falls.
 
What happened with this guy you are talking about when he was in Wichita Falls?

Also, anyone remember Mark Mathis? He was on WFAA 8 for a while, then I heard he did something wrong
and got shipped down to Austin, I think He was a weather guy. Just curious.

He was in Austin for a while then went to North Carolina where he totally went off the deep end from what I read.
I believe I read something about him and drug rehab up there. Bet you can find some clips of his odd behavior on youtube.
 
Mark went to austin in the middle 90's, then left for No. Carolina. He had alot of issues including the substance abuse and was let go by station managment in NC. He landed at KREX 5 in Grand Junction, CO, where he does weather.
 
Thanks for the update on Mark. I really liked him, had a great personality on WFAA-8.

Isn't it a shame that he was doing so well and then drugs got a hold of him? How many times has that happened in all of our society???
