So looks like Monday the 23rd is the big day! Wonder if Alexa will send over a plate of Greek Gyros as a token of friendship? :eek:
 
She will send over a DVD of "Jason and the Argonauts" with herself imposed as a "Harpie".
 
And what a cheesy promo it is. "we won't waste your time" and "no gimmicks"
Okay. So does that mean no personality too? Why hire Scott Sams if you're not going to have some cross talk?

It's a morning show. It's not the 10pm news.

I think Channel 11 is about to discover that Scott Sams was never a big ratings draw.
 
I have my set programmed to turn on to Ch 11, instead of Ch 4 tomorrow morning at 5AM. I use early morning news more like radio, I am listening more than I am watching. Most likely I will settle back to Ch 4 in a couple of days. I liked Scott Sams in the mornings at 8, after they moved Debbie off early mornings I started checking out the other morning shows. Watched 11 and 5 for bit before settling in with Channel 4.

4 seems to have more local news in the morning. I only tend to watch the screen when Meagan is talking. I am not a big fan of TV traffice reports since it seldom effects me. At least the guys on 4 toss out a little sports talk and can be a little entertaining in the morning.
 
Did anyone watch Scott Sams?

I taped the 5:00 AM return of Mr. Scott Sams to KTVT.He was the same smooth talker that he was on channel 8.He say he was GLAD to be back in the DFW TV market.

I watched Scott's debut on tape today. Not bad! I noticed some jitters from his co-anchors, but not from Scott. He was in his true, regular form...serious when needed, funny with that little sly glint in his eyes when needed. He seemed very humbled and ready to get back to DFW. At one of the fadeouts, you can hear him say, "I love this place!" And one flub, not his...when one of the field reporters he tossed it to said, "Thanks, Sam."

I can tell Scott needs a "Good Morning Texas"-type show again...he seems ready to laugh it up and show his personality again, and he only gets about 2 mins at the top and bottom of each hour to get it out of his system!

I laughed when that happened, reminded me of when he was on 8 the out of town reporters they did live shots with would call him Sam about 10% of the time.
 
Well, he is used that same kind of crackdown coverage and reporting that he got in the booming respite of Sherman/Denison.

Welcome back, Sam... Scott... Greek lover... whatever. :D
