SCOTT SHANNON NEW CITADEL VP

In addition to his duties at WPLJ he is now VP of Programming at Citadel. The story says he will assist major market PDs, but major market or not, being in a position of power I wonder what kind of effect this could have on a certain medium market that took his show off the air? I believe he didn't react to it that well.

Scott is great. I wouldn't expect any negative effects from it. He is one of the few out there that truly care about quality radio.

From some internal chatter, I heard there will be a huge format change. He will be wiping 92 Pro-FM off the map and will change the name to Classic 92.

OK.. I made that up. I just wanted to give you guys working there a brief jolt for a split second.

Comon... I didn't play any April Fools jokes this year. Now it's out of my system. :)

Congratulations to Scott Shannon, another one of the good ones who made radio better.

Problem with Citadel is that they manage to consistently lose people who care about quality radio. They're racing NBC to the bottom.
