Scott Shannon's America's Classic Hits

Does anyone know when Scott Shannon's America's classic hits is going to air on WOGL? I heard all of the CBS Classic Hits Stations are carrying it. This is airing Sunday Nights on WCBS 101 from 8-12. I think this would be a good time slot for this show.

I agree, it would be so much better then that irritating hasbeen on their now, you know, the guy that is in love with Pookie Hudson.

Shannon's show is running on Sunday mornings from 7:00 - 11:00 AM on WCBS-FM, not Sunday nights from 8-12.

Thank you Luperm. I hope they do not take off Casey's America's Top 40(from the 80s top 31...cuz they skip the first hour). I hope they just replace the Doo Wop Shop with Scott Shannon's show.

Does anybody know when this is airing on WOGL? I read that this is going to be on all of the CBS Classic Hits Stations on Oct 18 or 19. It did not air yesterday morning from 6-10. It also has not aired this morning in place of the Elvis and Beatles shows. I am guessing this will replace the Doo-Wop Shop at 9pm tonight. Any ideas?

CBS-FM and the other CBS classic hits stations stream. Listen online.

That is a great point Fred. I was just wondering if WOGL was going to air this or not. I was thinking they might not air it, since they are the only CBS Classic Hits Station I know that airs the Casey Kasem countdowns from the 70s and 80s.

Currently, it's not included in the program schedule on their website.

Scott Shannon is well known in New York. Not so much in Philly.

On some other pages, it's been reported that the launch of the show has been delayed to mid-November.

The original press release said the show will air on all ten CBS classic hits stations. I assume that would include WOGL, although it wasn't mentioned specifically.

What, was I the only listener to the Scott Shannon Rockin America Countdown on "the all new Eagle 106?" Or remembers "Hello...this is the D.J." on Z, er, Y-100's early days?

Eh, maybe I am. :)

If only Philly had a True Oldies Channel affiliate...

Maybe so, but Eagle 106 may never have existed or at least sounded the way it did had it not been for Scott Shannon and his success with Z100 in NY.

BTW, Did Scott Shannon's Rockin' America Top 30 ever air in Philly?

Shannon's Wiki says he was a consultant for what was then Y-100 in the 1990's.
