Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel

I hope Hudson Valley is thinking about bringing Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel to the Hudson Valley once if Goodradio.TV is going to take over the Clear Channel Hudson Valley stations in a matter of months. Ovet at Ridgefield, CT, True Oldies Channel is on WREF 850 AM and in Vermont on WVTK and in Chicago at WZZN at 94.7. I hope the Hudson Valley needs another oldies station since the demise of "Cool 92.9". Is Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel is coming to the Hudson Valley? ::) Will find out if Goodradio.TV takes over soon.

What the valley needs is a locally run and programmed oldies station, not a canned oldies format with the same stuff played over and over. We already had that with Oldies 97; 92.9 was slightly better and with less rep. Scott shannon's plays "safe songs", Read: same old stuff beat to death.

I don't know why his show isn't already on in New York City...I think if he can't get his show on in New York City then Hudson the HV area might not be available as well. Now that WABC/WPLJ have new owners this may change.

Shannon does a great job with this format.. Get to hear it on WVTK towards Burlington. Doesn't matter where the music comes from, it's a fun station to listen to. Very well done !
