Scott Sloan 700 WLW

The best ! I will be really happy (no offense), when the Reds baseball season is over !

As long as Burbank and McConnell are on WLW, Sloan won't be the best there. As long as Tracy Jones and Bill Boshears are on WLW, Sloan won't be the WORST either.

I know he was in for WIllie today and I turned the station on at work...and I just wasn't compelled to listen. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for talk today, I dunno. I just don't find myself drawn to him, but I don't think he's that bad.

I'm sorry...move Cunningham back to evenings, put Gary Jeff and Sensible Don on and be done with it. Give the Big One an African-America voice and someone who is very good.

The stooge report is funny but...it is better at night. I don't exactly go for Scott Sloan. I'd rather listen to MIX in Dayton than WLW's nighttime (when the Reds aren't on the air).

Cunningham was much better at night about 10yrs ago. I used to like listening to the wild Friday night shows he used to have back before the Govt censored terrestrial radio like they do today.

Sloan is boring radio in my opinion.

Sloan can be incredibly funny. He did a schtick a couple years back about wedgies that had me ROFL. Problem is, that happens a lot less often than it ought to if you're going to carry the mail for WLW on skywave. Sometimes he just sounds like the formulaic CCU "do the monologue here, start taking calls there" automaton that you find on so many CCU stations, usually doing 9-noon (not McConnell, he's the real deal...although Glenn Beck is a good example when he's not "on", and that's, oh, half the time these days). They are talk radio's version of liner jocks. Sloanie: you are better than that! Don't let them critique your talent out the window. Structure's good, but not when it chokes the talent off at the windpipe.

I A.M. DX from Maryland and can go West, as far as, WHO 1040 Des Moines, and as far South as, WWL New Orleans. I ran into Scott a while back and found him rather entertaining, especially his rantings about the crime in Cincinnatti. There's not much else I care for, except Coast To Coast AM and Saturday night oldies 770 WABC. If anyone has any other suggestions, it would be appreciated...

Sloan doesn't do it for me. He simply talks too fast and sounds manic. He has little, if any rapport with callers or guests and justs using them to launch into another manic (usually not very funny) rant.

There must be better out there.

I will admit he is good at playing Randy Furman.
