Scott Studios Question - Rotator Carts

I have a question for everyone using Scott.

You know how you can print a report that will tell you if there are any commercials or voice-tracks that won't run propperly due to incorrect dates or no audio being present etc...

We use nothing but rotator carts in our COM category to save traffic the effort of scheduling the correct rotation for commercials, but now we can't figure out a way of printing a report that will tell us if the cuts on the rotator will run incorrectly.

Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how do you get around it? We just cross our fingers every Friday, and get slammed every Monday.

Please note: I'm not the one who decided to run things this way, and I don't have the power to change it.

If I remember correctly, this report is actually generated (and printed) from Merge32. There should be a Reports tab, and various "error" based reports you can generate.

If those aren't working, call Google. But make sure you confirm you have a "support" contract, otherwise they charge some hefty call fees that your GM probably won't be too happy about.

When I worked with Scott ten years ago, we started out using the rotators, too. But we had so many problems, we had to have Traffic assign a different cart number for each commercial. It was a small battle, but well worth it for Sales and Traffic to know which spots aired when.

I suggest you have a meeting with your GM, Sales Manager and Traffic Director and work this out. Drop the rotator carts. You'll have less stress and the station will operate better.
