SCOTT WILDER BACK ON THE AIR

I didn't see this in a previous post, but if it's been discussed already, I'm sorry. As of March 8th, Scott is back on DFW airwaves at 1110AM KVTT. He's also on the IRN/USA Network with a few affiliates across the country. Lauren Lintner also continues in a supporting role with the show. www.scottwilder.com

I say, "Good for him!". I know he's not the preferred cup of tea for everyone on this board, but he was a DFW fixture for so long, on KWRD, I figured it deserved a post.

I don't know the guy, never listened to his show. Only thing I've ever heard is that he's a walking infomercial and relentless personal-endorsement shill. Then again, that describes most talk show hosts anyway.

Mike nailed it.

Scott's an ultra-rightwing self-described "Christian" whose show is little more than disparaging the 98% of America that is to the left of him, shilling some enterprise that ships Bibles to China (he never answered my personal message to him asking if this enterprise was owned by him, and if so how much money he made from it), and selling his own photographs.

A recent post on his website said something like, "It's a great day to buy some artwork!" (From Scott, of course!)

I listened a few times years ago as a goof. I'm sure his show appeals to some.

What type of show are they??

I want to say they, but really it's just Scott spewing all the regurgitated talk.  Lauren is the Jasmine (from Jagger) of the show...Chiming in with her "I'm a single mom and this is my very quick opinion on the topic."

Scott is (trying to be) a political show, but his hardcore bible-thumping perspective is mostly what you'll hear.

They were on KWRD-Christian Talk, for a reason - it's the only station their show would work.

They could only get back on in Dallas if an advertiser paid USA Network to carry their show, and they sell their own "national" spots to make money.  It's essentially the exact same situation Pugs & Kelly were in...But hey, congrats on being able to get that to happen and good luck to him, he's on the USA satellite and I'm not.
