Scotty Davis leaving KDWB

KDWB drive home host Scotty Davis is leaving to have his own morning show titled "Scotty Davis in the Morning" on RadioNow 100.9 (WNOU-FM) in Indianapolis. And I read that Clear Channel won't allow there stations to hire anyone until the end of Q1 in April. I'm not sure if that is true or not. That would mean one of KDWB's weekend people will get it or KDWB Program Director Rob Morris will get his own show again.
 
A hiring freeze, in this particular instance, probably means nothing ADDITIONAL in salary. KDWB, thus, would be okay because they'd be taking Scotty's salary and transferring it (minus quite a few dollars, I'm sure) to whomever they hire to replace him.
 
Good point, I didn't even think of that. I just hope they hire somebody good and someone with radio experience to replace him.
