Scotty O'Neil

So sad about the passing of Scotty O'Neil. A great talent, and a very sweet man. I really enjoyed the times we spent when I was a guest on Dennis Bono's show. Glad I had the privilege of knowing him. He's probably smiling on us now, laughing that he died while he was having a great time on stage. He always got it right!

I didn't hear about his passing until now. That is very sad. He was great in mornings on the old 104.3 KJUL and KFM-102. He was also a legendary jock in LA back in the day. He was a very nice guy, I'm sorry to hear this news.

I am very sad hearing the news about my old friend Scotty O'Neil. I have know Scotty since the early 1970's. We worked together at KMPC in Los Angeles. We just talked by e-mail a couple of weeks ago and decided it had been to long since we had gotten together so I guess we will reserve that for a later time. There was not a nicer or more talented guy. I miss you buddy.

Holy CRAP!! :'(

I had no idea...until just this minute. Scotty was so very good to me. We played golf several times, at his beloved Legacy Country Club.

Another Giant gone....(Don't get any dumb ideas, Big Time!)

God Bless You, Kristy...

We're going to miss you, Scotty!

I remember his voice, a real class act. I first heard him on KNX-FM 93.1 in L.A. I believe it was around 1968, at that time Scott O'Neil hosted "The Young Sound" format. He would back announce the songs in long sets. I might have him on an old reel-to-reel tape stashed in the back of my closet. When I visited and later moved to Las Vegas, I heard him again. He will be missed.
