Scotty's Back on Kicks, This Time With His Name

Scotty O'Brien, who was a casualty of the Leap Year Day Massacre at Citadel, is back doing the night show on Kicks.

When Kicks first brought him in, the station wouldn't let him use O'Brien as his last name because of Kevin O'Brien on Eagle. Kicks thought about calling him Scotty Nash but never gave him a last name. So he was just Scotty.

Now of course, with no Eagle and no Kevin O'Brien in the picture, he's Scotty O'Brien. It's good to hear at least evenings have been rebuilt at Kicks.

Yeah we can't have two O'Brians' in one cluster. Come to think of it, yeah maybe Kicks/Eagle did not want to chance diaries getting mixed up between Eagle and Kicks

What's next? Two personalities with the name "McCoy" working on the same station? That couldn't happen. That would almost be as weird as having half of your morning team named "Kelly" while having someone in afternoon named "Kelly". Maybe B98.5 can retain either Kelly or Alpha and move one of the two to afternoons to team with Kelly McCoy ... then it would be either "Kelly & Kelly" or "Kelly & Alpha"! Maybe The River's Kate McCarthy can fill in for Jordan Graye sometimes?
 
I always get tripped up WSB btraffic with Kim McCarthy. Always think it is Kate who shouldn't be confused with Jordan Graye.
 
Glad he is back but why dont they let him go back to working 7pm, to midnight. Tug, who is a morning producer seems to have to work 5am to 10am then 7pm to 10pm, why dont they just let Obrian do it from 7pm-12am, I just think that is bs that TUG has to work mornings and nights.
 
Well that could be the case, BUT, I heard Tug talking about the weather the other night when it was raining, last week one night. Plus how would he do the so called TOP 8 at eight? But maybe I m lost but who knows.
 
Anyone heard on how, all the other casualties are doing from the massacre, that is BUCK THE TRUCK, STEVE MITCHELL, RHUBARB THE MAN JONES, SANDY WEAVER OR WILEY ROSE, ANYONE HEARD HOW THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING.......WHAT ABOUT JESSIE JANE
 
Scotty is now on from 7pm-10pm,then from 10pm-12mid Kicks air GAC Nights with Susanne Alexander. GAC was on Eagle before the change. As for the people who were let go back in February Rhubarb is now teaching at Kenesaw State,Steve Michell runs a voice over and vedio production company and does a weekly syndicated Nascar and Country Music show called Thunder Road wich was on Eagle before it flipped. I don't have any info on Buck,Sandy Weaver or Wiley. Jessie Jane was on of the one 's fortunate to surrvive,she's now with Kicks.
 
I think KICKS has hired all of its old djs, and fill ins from the Eagle to become Production and so forth, how many people does it take. Lets see, AL hardy,Rob Lee, Freddy Brooks, Kevin Obrian, Boomer, Melissa ,.........well sounds like a lot. Anyone else Im missing? Well I just miss alot of these guys on the radio.........Glad that Scotty is back though.........
 
Rob Lee is back on Kicks,he's been filling in for Scotty the last coupple of nights and does weekends,so is Melissa,she's been in for Evelyn Kay this week. Boomer,KevinO'Brien and Al Hardy are doing production for WYAY and WKHX. Freddy Brooks is now the local jock on True Oldies.
 
Sandy Weaver is now Sandy Weaver Carman, and her new venture is Voicework On Demand. Don't know what Wylie is doing, though. :'(
 
There is a body live at Kicks during the over night hours and a great guy too. He also watches after True Oldies and Radio Disney which is still in the building.
 
No Scotty can't be the over night dj on Kicks. I don't know who is,I rmber Kevin O'Brien when he did over nights on Kicks back in the day.
