SCSI Hard Drive Source?

I have a couple of 360 Systems units, an Instant Replay and a Digicart II+ that need new hard drives. 360 Systems tells me they no longer support the older SCSI units.

Does anyone know of a source for SCSI drives? I would like to put these two machines back in working order and sell them.

Both are in good shape except for the hard drives. The Instant Replay will play back but has errors. The Digicart works when using a Zip disk.

If you are interested in one or both of these machines in their current condition please send me a message. I would rather someone have them than to send them to the landfill...

They did for the Digicart I know. They have stopped selling the kit. It would allow you to use an IDE hard drive and still use the SCSI Zip Drive.

When I almost bought an older Instant Replay that used SCSI drives I called 360 to get some info regarding service and they mentioned the use a device called an "A-Card" which is just a scsi-to-ide bridge. An online search shows various manufacturers of the bridge adapter for anywhere between $125 to $165. Assuming the gear is in good shape it would probably be worth investing to get/keep it going.

Keep in mind 360 Systems offers limited support for the older, obsolete units depending on parts availability so you may want to keep that in mind as well before spending the money on the units in question.

Believe it or not, it is getting more difficult to find higher capacity (500GB) IDE drives at general retail! 80GB-32GB, sure. But more than that and your largest selection is all SATA.

For HDD, Geeks.com and Microcenter.com generally have pretty decent prices.

High capacity drives for the 360 Systems products may not be that big a deal. I got the impression that the internal operating systems may only address a certain capacity anyways. The Shortcut I picked up was a pull from a satellite network and it had a 20gb drive and from what I was told these units originally came with 8 gb drives. I haven't cracked open the Instant Replay so I don't know what it has as a stock drive.
