Sea-Comm Sold?

Inner Banks Media? Adjacent markets and it would be their first expansion outside.

I hope whoever it is doesn't screw up The Penguin (which is 98.3 FM, not 106.7 as stated in the article). That is a great station.

I heard that a company from the Northeast may be purchasing it, i've often wondered if "Curtis Media Group" wants to get into the Wilmington radio market.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. Very unique formats they run already so they should do the Penguin justice.

The new owner of the Sea-Comm properties is David Media, LLC, the owners of AAA-formatted WTYD "92.3 The Tide" Deltaville, VA, and classical WBQK "107.9 Bach-FM, West Point, VA, both serving Williamsburg. I believe singer Bruce Hornsby, a Williamsburg native, either has or had some interest in Davis Media.

The new owner is Davis Media. Here's The Tide's (WTYD) website: http://www.tideradio.com/. Click on the "What was that song" tab to see and to download a PDF of their daily playlist. They've maintained the same format since at least 2006. I haven't heard any live announcers in several years.

Bruce Hornsby is a minority owner, according to the FCC website.
