Sea Hunt

ZIV television Programs Inc. was sold to United Artists sometime roughly around 1959 or '60. I remember watching a news program inthe 80s where somebody colorized an episode of Sea Hunt, but don't remember distinctly.

Sea Hunt was the only series that I remember the starring role also did the narration. ZIV produced tons of shows in its heyday including The Cisco Kid,Highway Patrol,Stage 7,Science Fiction Theater among others.

Was a big fan of Sea Hunt when I was a kid. WLWD(WDTN) in Dayton originally aired it and WIMA-TV (WLIO) in Lima had it in reruns through up to the mid 60s.

Sea Hunt was a great show. Good acting, writing & the music was exceptional.

I haven't seen Sea Hunt in many years but I do remember it as a child. I thought it was a good show but thought the music was too prominent. It just seemed too loud to me. Everybody has an opinion.

"Sea Hunt" is currently running weekend mornings at 6 AM on thisTV, the MGM/UA/AIP outlet. It's seen here in Louisville on WAVE-DT 3.2 (Channel 47). Frederic Ziv's production company. headquartered in Cincinnati, was the leading independent television program syndicator until the sale to United Artists, giving them instant entry into the top ranks of TV distribution.

I thought the music helped the show immensely.
To each his own.

Watched a Sea Hunt last night with a 9 year old Jeff Bridges. Also Lloyd's wife Dorothy Dean Bridges was in it and of course she played Jeff's mother.
