Overheard at the Raleigh Ale House...two CC Raleigh employees yakking loud enough so they could hear over at the Cadillac dealer that Ryan Seacrest was coming to G-105 after Christmas. Anyone heard anything?
 
Hey.....why DON'T THEY DO XMAS MUSIC too! Bob Dum*ass in the AM....Ryan in Mid-days...and then back to XMAS music. Hey....they could get a shot at the start of the 2009 Xmas season.....'cause we all know that XMAS music is going to get BIIIIIIIGGGGGGGG ratings......and then try to sell that sh*t the rest of the year!

I totally agree with Jmbookie, Christmas music is gonna be huge this year!!1 The thing to do is to get great big ole fat ratings with the Christmas music, hten sell based off those ratings all year. Works like a charm. Book it, I'm never wrong.
 
Overheard at the Wash and Run Laundramat in Raleigh...Kitty and Blade are getting married, Rooster is going spanish, and G is going catholic. Look out folks.

Apparently not as huge as last year; whereas last year we had three stations--- Kiss, Mix, and Y--- all playing it, now we only have Mix playing it on the air; Y is only playing it online on a separate webstream www.carolinachristmasmusic.com, while Kiss seems to have abandoned it altogether and stuck with its regular format.
As for the c**k-a-doodle-doo going espanol, what would they name it if it does: La Preciosa (like on WGBT in G'boro) or Rumba (like in Philly; there it started on the former Sunny 104.5 before being bumped down to the AM dial)? Also, where would the Carolina football and basketball broadcasts go, back to 100.7 or to another station? That would be something if the Tar Heel Sports Network were in fact move back to 100.7; then we'd have Carolina on 100.7, Wake Forest on 101.1, and N.C. State on 101.5.

It's about time (way overdue) that Mr. DUMB ASS, has his ass removed from the market. Never saw any talent in him, ever. Just a loud mouth yankee that cost CC ton's of money in fines and ran the Raleigh police department ragged. He had (has) no talent, that's why he has to create static, to gain ratings.
Any idiot that would negotiate a contract with this guy should be fired! Got that Dickie!?
 
More on this and other RDU and G-WS-HP staff cuts expected this week. The new owners are mandating cost savings on a nationwide conference call today. Sorry Sam but Dumas will keep his fat check while others continue to fall out around him. Bob is a real "team player" that way but "Dickie" has no choice in the matter.

I've heard these new owners are looking at cuts on the sales side as well. Do we really need a Natl. Sales Mgr, Gen Sales Mgrs, Sales Mgrs of each station etc. etc.....It's never been hard to lop off PD salaries and dump 3 stations onto one guy. Maybe the axe swings the other way this time
 
I'm not saying that Seacrest won't be forced in or that air talent won't leave the station, but do any of you actually listen to the stations you talk about -- and complain about all day?
G105 even has a live overnight jock, something they didn't have earlier this year. He came on this summer, and, as of Thanksgiving morning, but live taking calls or at least presenting a verry real sounding VT'd show. A year ago they were completely automated. If they cut people, you'd think he'd be the first to go.
Or maybe there's just too much b/s on these forums...
