Seacrest on WSNE

It sounds like drop-ins from his morning show.Traffic reports and a liner saying less commercials after about 6 minutes of spots, traffic, someone local dropping in to introduce traffic. What a joke....

AT40 still on Pro.So you have a syndicated show host on two competitive stations in the same market.Yet again. Remember Casey Kasem on WPRO and WSNE simultaneously with different versions of the countdown.

What I heard today was a trainwreck & 1/2....I'm giving them some time to work out the kinks; but it sounded HORRIBLE!

You noticed the same thing I did. They went into 7 minutes of spots (I timed it) and then into a liner that said "fewer and shorter commercials".... LOL. Do they not think people are paying attention? Then add in another 5 minutes of commercials during the next break. What a joke.

As for my view on the show. Here is what you get. Each hour nets you 4 drops of Ryan Seacrest doing his thing. Highly edited clips of his morning show with a percussion beat behind them. There wasn't an insert longer than 40 seconds. Two of them from Ryan were only 20 seconds each. So in an hour you are lucky to get two minutes of Ryan Seacrest. TWO MINUTES AN HOUR. A Grand total of 8 minutes of Seacrest per four hour shift. I guess that is the punchline to this cruel joke.

I taped an hour of this thing today and edited out all the music and commercial breaks. But I kept in every bit of Seacrest. Don't take bathroom breaks during the show. You may not hear him at all.
Here is the link. After you listen to it.... THOUGHTS PLEASE!

Please take note that he closes out every segment with "All of this coming soon." REALLY? All of what? I didn't hear more of any of the interview snips that aired. Is he trying to say that there will be a longer version of these brief interviews coming soon? He better hope so or else he gets labeled as having a misleading radio show.

I don't get it.Is his show music or personality driven.
AWFUL editing.

What life can a morning show have hours after it originally aired.
What a stupid move.

Here's an idea........
air it live.I know it would be more of a midday thing but..(you know what I mean)

How is John Tesh?

I would say that his syndicated show is definitely music driven. He isn't on enough for it to be personality driven. I just went to his website and he has several unedited interviews from his morning show. Those were a thousand times more enjoyable to listen to than the crap I heard on WSNE. Visit the link in this post to hear what I'm talking about. The material on the website is the sort of thing that WSNE should be airing if they want to truly be able to say they air the Ryan Seacrest show. wknd92 is absolutely correct. The WSNE version of the show was without a doubt a train wreck. TWO MINUTES of Ryan Seacrest an Hour and that is supposed to be a show? How about the other 58 minutes? 58 Minutes of No Ryan Seacrest an hour!!!! It's insane! I don't even know how Seacrest gets away with syndicating this stuff.

If they want to air Seacrest that bad than they should should take his morning show and air it Live. I do realize that because of the time difference it wouldn't start on WSNE until 9:00 AM. But that's still better than airing this retarded syndicated version I heard yesterday. I actually feel embarrased for the station.

Here go listen to something here and you'll soon see that this is what WSNE should be airing. It's what Seacrest should be offering to stations. Not the 20 second clips of nothing I heard yesterday. I don't even know what the hell that even was!

Day 2-no better

Did you actually expect better? lol. I think this is all we are going to get. I didn't even tune in today. I had enough of it yesterday. So please tell me how many times Ryan said "ALL OF THIS AND MORE COMING SOON!" I'm confused why he says that in the first place. Coming soon? It's like this is supposed to be a tease for something bigger? But THIS IS THE SHOW! So what the hell is coming soon? Am I the only one confused by this? I honestly don't get it.

PS....Go to the website for Mix100 in Denver. Ryan's show should be starting in a couple of minutes there. Let's listen to the stream and see if it's the same crap WSNE gets.

OK.... I'm now starting to think that WSNE is butchering the show. I've been tuned into Mix100 for an hour and the show seems to be flowing much better than it does on WSNE. There seems to be more Seacrest and he's not saying that stupid line of "All Of This and more coming soon". I think WSNE is hacking up the show with dumb liners that don't make sense and also possibly cutting out some Seacrest inserts too. I'm wondering if each individual affiliate controls how many Seacrest inserts they air. This could be making all the difference. Don't get me wrong. This is definitely more of a music driven show than a personality program. It's still 90 percent music. However it seems a bit more tolerable on this station from Denver.

i think wsne was better off going with nothing but music for afternoon drive if there to cheap to pay a dj. this seacrest show is horrible

having listened to the show...i have one positive thing to say, and one negative thing to say

positive: ryan's actual coast-fm liners sound pretty natural.

negative: EVERYTHING ELSE.

onair with ryan seacrest (god forgive me for shooting arrows at the great lord and savior of radio) is the most overrated morning show in the country. then editing 4-8 minute interviews into >:40...you're kidding me. Please. Hire a newbie for $10/hr and replace Ryan. Unless, of course, Ryan is doing production duties as well as his voicetracking. ;)

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard put on radio. Jesus.

While I agree that the hacked up version of the show sounds less than favorable right now, I do think that his show on KIIS in LA is really good. I listen to it online a lot and while I spent time there. Like a lot of good morning shows, he has a good cast of people around him.

I'm sure his show is entertaining and interesting. I think Ryan Seacrest has great talent.

This idea of doing what they are doing is an embarrassment to the station(WSNE) and to Ryan Seacrest himself. If I were him and I knew what affiliates were doing to chop up the show like that I would be pissed and screaming bloody hell.

The Coast website says his show starts June 30 so maybe what you're hearing now isn't what you'll hear then. Not that I've heard it or will after June 30.
