Everyday I see that more and more stations around the country are adding Ryan Seacrest's new daily show to their lineup. With the way radio is moving towards less local personalities, do you think anyone in Indy will add his show to Middays or Afternoons? If so, which station?
 
NO WAY!! I've heard it's already been turned down a couple of times in Indy. WNOU and WZPL are the only stations I see it workin' on here...not sayin' it would work because the show is horrible. I've listened! But in WZPL's case...what are you going to do? Replace Dave Decker with Seacrest when you already have a syndicated night show? No way...that guy is here until he leaves on his own terms! Who knows though!?! It's a crazy biz! Who would of thought WZPL would hop on the Kim Iverson train? Seacrest atleast makes more sense than that for the Indy market!

just get rid of all air talent ... local thats is... and put on the syndicates!!! all seacrest all the time on every chr!!!!
 
Are we affecting ZPL this bad? A high school station promotes it's 5-7 "no break zone" and they lose "local" talent...nah, just kidding. More of my students that hate Seacrest (yes, that's most of them...take a poll) will quit listening to that HAC/CHR and turn to ours.

I understand that it's not their key demo, but you just lost most teens that might have listened.

Clear Channel has all but forced it (and it some cases has actually forced) on several CHRs. This is exactly why I went with XM... at least I don't have to put up with hack "personalities" that are beamed all over the country. At least with sat, I know what I'm getting and it's not a big lie.

I wonder who, or what, Seacrest had to kiss to become such a darling with Clear Channel?
 
Seacrest sounds much better than Kelly and Mindy (the traffic reporter - who is out of a job soon with metro! ha ha) Those girls were horrible. Nobody wants to listen to talk...blah, blah, blah....PLAY SOME MUSIC like X103!!!!
