Well...that's the last person I'd expect to hear talking about smooth jazz, but he did tonight on FOX News' Hannity Show (or at least some writer for Hannity wrote it, anyhow). Seems there was some sort of recent "decision" by Nancy Pelosi and others to remove the patriotic music that callers hear when phoning the US Government and replace it with, as Sean Hannity put it, "smooth jazz elevator music". I heard that and just cringed. More of that idiotic nonsense of equating smooth jazz to "elevator music". We have to hear the "elevator music" comments everywhere, and now we have a national news network endorsing that kind of thinking. What's worse...he decided to reinforce that idea, referring to smooth jazz as "elevator music" a second time during the story. According to FOX, the patriotic music was put back into place after numerous complaints about it being scrapped. I'm like...ok, if the vast majority want the patriotic music, fine. Just keep the "elevator music" commments to yourself. Thanks, Sean... :
