Sean Hannity liner

I heard that too. I presumed it was to tie in their affiliation with Fox News (Sheppard Smith's cut liners for WTAM, although that makes sense as he anchors the 5PM TOH news report that WTAM carries).

And WTAM will never ever be able to fit Sean on their schedule, unless both the NBA and MLB ceased to exist.

John, what was Hannity saying? Was it a promo for his show, or for his FNC show, or a commercial?

I'm betting on #2, since WTAM is indeed a Fox News Radio affiliate, and probably gets FNC show promos in FNR commercial inventory as a result.

Note that Glenn Beck's voice was heard on WTAM even when he was replaced by Jerry Springer (and later, Bob Frantz). The station had to run his commercial load.

But Hannity's show has never aired on WTAM in any form. I'm betting FNC promo.

I've heard it about a dozen times on wtam, it's a commercial. I often hear Mark Levin spots on WTAM as well. Only a guess that the sponsor wanted to use Sean's voice across all of their radio schedules.

The liner with Sean was for Fox News Radio and Fox News Channel.

I didn't realize that FNR actually HAD commercial inventory. Usually the :02-:03 stopset is a cutaway mark for local spots, usually filled with Fox News Channel promos.

Well, FNR is not a non-commercial service, so they have to have inventory somewhere. Unless it's like the news radio version of Radio Disney, aimed only at promoting Fox News Channel! Heh.

I can easily see him promoting his TV presence or FNR itself on FNR, and for that to be heard on WTAM.

The "Fox News Talk" channel will usually play a FNC promo or special segment at :02 after the hour during the news.

That's what also fed to all terrestrial radio affiliates (including WTAM). It's even a part of FNR's hourly online podcast.
