Sean Hannity Payola Scandal?

All throughout his show on April 15 (Tea Party day) and the day after on April 16, Sean has been playing the song "Shutting Detroit Down" by John Rich. But not just as a music bed, they actually play lyrics from the song and everything - coming out of spots, going into spots, even in its own short segment!

Now maybe it's just a coincidence that Mr. Rich just happened to perform that song on Sean's Fox show, but to give frequent airplay to this song in such fashion just seems a little hinky to me. I mean, don't most of his affiliates lack an ASCAP/BMI license for music? Hannity could literally be bankrupting his own affiliates because of a song that he says on his show he likes so much - so let's play it again... How about the live version from the Fox show?

No, they have ASCAP/BMI licenses
