Sean Salisbury

Do people just not like this guy? Everytime I listen he's reading a text from someone who want's to kick his ass. He's always defending himself on the radio. I just find it funny that a radio host would take anything anyone says personal. It's odd but quite entertaining at the same time.

He could care less what people think of him. I'm being serious I know the guy and all he wants to do is cause a spark in someone.

All his retorts and stuff are a bit.

You may call it a bit, but it's stupid. You can't and shouldn't respond to those who don't like you.
Just try texting something negative to him. He'll respond and get into a debate with you. Pretty stupid imo.

Thats why I enjoy texting into their show on the rare occasion I listen. I like getting into debates with him over the text feature.

A fine example of why radio is desperate and withering on the vine.

So....everyday I come on this board there is a new thread about 105.3 The Fan, and how much it sucks and how you guys can't stand to listen to it and blah blah blah. Well then why are you listening to it if you hate it! With me, I can't stand the show Two And And Half Men, so I don't watch it. Same applies to The Fan. If you hate it, then don't listen!

Hey Mac don't bother you can ask most of these people. i've tried it, they don't listen :) RIGHT GUYS and GIRLS???

Anyway I've come to the conclusion that if they didn't have 105.3 to talk about most of them wouldn't have much to say.

So he can't? Never realized that was a rule.

He does it because he enjoys seeing how stupid some people can actually get.

Who said anything about it being a "rule"?
I should be the only one who decides when I pay for texts. Not him.

Personally, I think Salisbury is interesting on the air.

Others have commented negatively about his career. However, he did play nine years of professional football in the NFL and the CFL as an undrafted player out of USC.

So he knows something about what goes on in the huddle and the locker rooms. He does bring insight that someone who has not played professional sports cannot possess.

His career stats, as he admits, are not that impressive. But those stats are better than at least two former first-round draft choices -- Todd Marinovich and Ryan Leaf -- just check his yardage and QB rating.

Your words Rodzilla

"You can't and shouldn't respond to texts from people who don't like you."

So, that's my response to I didn't know it was a "rule" for someone not to text you back.

And by the way if you don't want to pay text charges, don't text if someone has the ability to respond back. It's simple.

People make him to be a bad guy, but yet it's these same people who go and say something and then claim FOUL when you get a response that they deserve.

Ok, not sure why you're defending him. Maybe you're related.
But, the bottom line is, I choose when I pay for texts, not him or the station.
Just because they offer the option of texting doesn't mean that their sensitive hosts get to respond back.
If I want to debate, I call in. When I want to text my opinion, that's my perogative. It's not his or theirs to text me back.
I've got a couple of buddies in the industry and they can't believe he actually gets into text arguments. RJ Choppy does the same thing. It's pure insecurity. And it's comical.

He does it because he enjoys seeing how stupid some people can actually get.

Unless you're Sean, a co-worker or a relative, you can't know that.
And if you're either or those, you have no credibility on this matter.

So, you use a two-way method of communication to send a message... and don't expect a response? That's just stupid.

So apparently if you had a friend who was getting verbally attacked you wouldn't do anything to try and defend him??? Wow, your a lousy friend then.

By the way unless you know me, I'd suggest S.T.H.U. All you are doing is being ignorant by using the two-way communication of TEXTING and getting upset because he responded to you and your argument of something to the affect of "You and your entire show SUCKS"

Salisbury has hardly anything to be insecure about, he puts most of his s*** out on the air and like I said before could care less what some dumb person who doesn't understand two-way communication thinks about him.

Oh and if I was one of the three people, OR let me add a fourth one for dramatic expense, a co-worker. How would it be possible not to have any credibility on this matter???

Outlaw everybody knows you work at 105.3, and you defend them all no matter what But. Sean is a jerk, period. Was at ESPN Bristol, Fired. Was at ESPN Chicago, Fired. Was at ESPN Dallas, Fired. he is just a bad guy. Ask the girls he has gone out with what a bad guy he is (I Have) or the girls he has shown nasty pics of his own stuff to (On his phone) what kind of guy he is. To the people he worked with at ESPN he is a total joke and and a train wreck of a person. He will prove that again at the Fan. He attacks people that attack him because he is afraid everyone will find out his secrets. You can defend him, heck you can be his friend, but always remember, Bad Guy.

All right, All right. You caught me.

Watch the episode done on July 11th. I'm one of the people you see on camera.

By the way, I still don't work for 105.3.

Another employee or relative?
I'll say this again slowly. When I text, I'm deciding when I pay for it.
When they as a station offer that as means for ME to communicate with them, it's still MY option to text.
Nowhere in that unwritten agreement does it say The Fan reserves the right to reply. Can you imgaine if they replied to ALL of the texts? Guess what, they couldn't. So, you only choose to reply to the ones who rip you? And you don't see that's a tad bit insecure? The minute they turn on the mike, they're subject to all types of emotions. It's part of the deal.
But again, they and no other station have the right to say when I get texts.
Now, if they do what the Ticket does, and actually have people sign up, that's different. But Sean, just like RJ, is just plain insecure.

Unbelievebale. You sir are a complete dork.
You argue as though you have a valid point. All the while, you have a vested interest.
Le hoozer

Next you are going to say you get angry when the person you are calling picks up the phone and answers. Look, texting is not a form of narrowcasting. It is a two-way communications medium. If your intended recipient has the ability to receive a text, then you should expect them to reply with a text. This is called "common sense".

And another thing - if you still pay per text you are more foolish than I originally thought. Better go disconnect your fax machine before someone sends you a reply and uses a sheet of paper.

No, I don't know any of these people you are discussing or even listen to the station in question. Sports is not my thing. But when I saw your entertaining lack of logic, I just had to join in.

I don't work NOR have I ever worked for 105.3 or any radio station in the DFW area.

Hardly anyone knows who anybody is on this board. The only vested interest I have is that I have become friends with people at the station. The only Le Hoozer is you rod for believing someone who post s*** on a message board, and you believing it to be 100% accurate.

You my friend are the definition of the word GULLIBLE.

You sir or madam deserve a round of applause for that. :)

And a cookie, or a shot of your choice of drink.
