SEATTLE GETS A SECOND CHR/POP STATION: MOVIN 92.5

In recent months Movin 92.5, the station that got the ball rolling on Rhythmic A/C, had been evolving to a a more current based Rhythmic CHR.
Now it appears the station's heading in the direction of CHR/Pop, as reported in Allaccess.

The current sound of the station pits it with Kiss 106.1 and with (Rhythmic) Kube 93, which are both owned by Clear Channel.

They're gonna fail. Kiss is on Top now that CC owns them and KUBE they can't even defeat. they got no room 2 take over either.

CC is doing a fine job with Kiss, but it doesnt sound like you know the whole story here. CC inherited the current Alterna-Pop lean sound of KBKS from the days it was owned by CBS Radio. It's a great sounding station, and has been for years. Long before it got into the hands of Clear Channel.
Let's also not forget that up until several months ago Tacoma had its own local non-commercial CHR/Pop station called I-91. They too were always friendly towards that Alterna-Pop sound, even before Kiss 106.1 came on the scene.
Finally, several CHR/Pop outlets is nothing new for the Pugent Sound region. Up until the early 90s Seattle always had at least 2 CHR/Pop outlets - Kube 93 as well as KPLZ 101.5 (which was also known as K-Plus). In the past you also had stations like KNBQ FM 97, 96.5 KYYX, and of course KJR 950 AM

I agree with Chrles,, im a huge fan of the sound of Kiss Seattle.

KUBE 93 is better. I don't hate 106.1 KISS FM but I just don't think they don't bring much excitement to the station. Not to mention I'm not a fan of all that kiddie-pop rock they play (Hey Monday, 30 Seconds to Mars). I do listen to "Club Kiss" occasionally though.
