KJR has some god-awful ratings!

KJR god awful? I wouldn't be too worried about a 3.9. My question is why does KBKS still use the Seattle's #1 hit music station slogan? Those numbers would seem to indicate they're ranked 10th, while KQMV is way ahead of them. I'm kind of surprised how high KCMS is. I would have thought KPLZ would be much stronger 6+ than they are. Interesting that KMTT is listed as variety hits and is well ahead of KJAQ.

AM 950 I meant. With a 1.5 it's time for them to flip formats. Sports is dying on the frequency. KIRO-AM's doing better!

Hey! Some actual change to report in the April PPM! In the prime demos and 6a-7p things looked a little different. KCMS and KKWF have shot up in the ratings over the last eight weeks or so. KCMS was on top with women 25-54 along with KPLZ and KRWM. KISW and KZOK led the male battle as usual. THE WOLF jumped to second overall in prime demo and in mornings was on top 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. Also in the top five in mornings KZOK, KPLZ, KUOW, KISW. MOVIN is tops in the younger demos and overall and well ahead of KBKS and KUBE.

WOLF, KCMS and MOVIN have become players in the market joining the usual suspects KUOW, KISW, KPLZ, and KZOK in prime demos and day parts. Top billing station for the month was KISW, followed by KPLZ and KIRO-FM.

Is Christian and Country music much better over the last couple of months, or is it programming or just a meter sample change? Either way it is something different, just when we thought there were no new stories in Seattle radio. MOVIN may be the most dramatic change since January easily beating long time market leaders KISS and KUBE in the battle for young demos.

Pretty much the same thing some people have been saying for 20 years now.

Forget KJR-AM. Where's KFNQ?

CBS sports is a cheaper place to put KFNQ' holding pattern until they figure out what to do next. No traffic reports, no Lee Callahan. Do they have a live and local sports show? I haven't tuned in.

The Fan's only local show thus far is the Steve Sandmeyer Show with co-host Bill Swartz. M-F, 3p-6p. Lee Callahan is now full time on Jack-FM.

I am surprised it has taken this long for 92.5 to beat 106.1 and 93.3, I think they've always been the better station. As for KJR flipping, it's not going to happen I don't think. They are way too committed to it. I was told they have a full TV studio. What owner would onvest in that if they weren't committed to the format? What I think they should do though is move The Brew to 102.9 and give KISW a real run for its money.

The Brew is a placeholder format...it wouldn't make a dent in KISW's numbers without a $pendy morning show and a LOT of marketing. I guess they COULD move Rivers there...
